VANISHING TWIN
 

Vanishing Twin’s expansive and magical psychedelic epic Tell Me Not Here is now available as a limited edition transparent vinyl standard pressing.

With lyrics adapted from A.E. Housman’s 1922 poem, ‘Tell Me Not Here, It Needs Not Saying’, Vanishing Twin fly deeper into their sonic universe, blending elements from an improvisational session, raw recordings of the natural world, and poetry to create sublime, cosmic pop. This twenty-minute piece has embellishments of sparkling synth and lyrical vignettes that are reminiscent of English folk melodies.

Available now on transparent vinyl.

Tell Me Not Here was commissioned by The Quietus and released as part of state51's Singularity Series.

Sealionwoman, is vocalist Kitty Whitelaw and double bass player Tye McGivern. Together they craft a unique and defiantly uncategorisable sound. Whitelaw’s rich and beguiling vocal delivery and McGivern’s atmospheric, inventive approach to his instrument creates melancholy soundscapes, torch-song transgressions and rapturous drama. 

 

Their astonishing second album ‘Nothing Will Grow In The Soil’ explores the role ancient yew trees occupy in our culture, spirituality and imaginations. Alongside this, Kitty Whitelaw’s forays into the deeper end of her register and the dark churns of McGivern’s double bass – strengthened by a raft of digital effects – build a crushing, nightmarish landscape. 

The album will be available as a 12'' Tree Trunk vinyl.
